Considered one of the best in Latin America, the course was shaped by incorporating and enhancing the geographical layout of the land, the surrounding nature and the topography, to offer the most comfort to the players. The dramatic shaping of the fairways and greens are typical on DYE courses.
Designed by Pete and Perry Dye, from Dye Designs in Colorado, and coordinated by Dom Eudes de Orleans e Bragança, the Búzios Golf Club has over 1,000,000 m2 of green areas with valleys and hills bordering the lakes with 18 holes of golf.
Driving Range
large driving range with 7 pratice greens, pratice bunker and 18 hole putting green.
Holes 1 Through 4
Located within dense vegetation, having a gentle topography on the hill side.
Holes 5 Through 9
Located on the sides of a valley, bordering lakes, which also collect the water used for irrigating the course.
Holes 10 Through 14
Also located on the slopes of a side hill, they have open views of the whole undertaking and are affected by different wind directions.
Holes 15 Through 18
These holes are practically flat, with small mounds and are bordered by lakes, enhancing their difficulty. The 17th hole has the famous island-green (created by Pete Dye, and another of his trademarks). The 18th hole is the most difficult.
