Designed by Roberto Migotto, Fazenda Sao Francisco is the real hidden gem of Brazil. The hotel is built on the grounds of a beautiful farm amid a grove of palm trees and on the doorstep of over 2km of private beach. It is a small boutique hotel offering total privacy, first class food and modern sea-facing suites and bungalows. The bungalows all have their own private verandahs, small gardens, enormous bathrooms with over-sized sunken baths and bedrooms which are stylish, light and airy opening up to a view of the ocean.
The emphasis here is on relaxation, but for those who want more than this there are trips into the nearby Indian Reserve, boat rides through the mangroves and horse riding on offer. This is a really special place to stay in a remote and totally unspoilt part of Brazil.
